vibedout NFC Lite · v0.3.17 · Android

Write an NFC tag in two taps.

One screen. Pick what goes on the tag — your website, your Instagram, Google reviews, the Wi-Fi password — and hold a sticker to the phone. The phone that taps it later needs no app at all: it just opens what you wrote.

What it does

Pick it, then write it

One menu for what goes on the tag: a website, text, Wi-Fi, a contact, a phone number, an email, an SMS, a location or an app to open. For a link, tap Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, TikTok, X, LinkedIn or Google reviews and type your handle.

Save once, write again with one tap

Saved items sit under the form, named for you — “Website · example.com” — and you can rename them. Tap one, hold a sticker to the phone, done.

Checked, not hoped

Every write is read back and compared, so “written” means it is on the tag. If it will not fit the sticker, you are told how many bytes it needs before you try.

Share live: the phone is the tag

No sticker at hand? Share live turns your phone into the tag — another phone taps the back of yours and opens what you picked.

A QR code for every item

Each thing you write also gets a QR code, for phones without NFC. Show it on screen, or save and share it as an image.

Scan any tag

The Scan button reads a tag and shows what is on it, and the chip it is written on.

Worth knowing

Android only, for now

There is no iPhone version yet. Share live needs an Android phone with NFC turned on.

Installed by hand, not from a store

The APK is signed with a development key. Android asks once to allow installs from your browser or file manager, and Play Protect may warn on first install.

No account

It opens straight to the Write screen. There is nothing to sign up for, and your saved items stay on the phone.

Some cards will not work

MIFARE Classic cards cannot be written on many Samsung and Pixel phones. Common NTAG stickers, cards and key fobs work.

Android 7.0 or newer · 64-bit ARM · a phone with NFC

  • APK — Open it on the phone; Android asks once to allow installs from that app

iOS

Not yet built

Not built yet — an iPhone build needs a Mac and a paid Apple developer account.

SHA-256 checksums

Verify with sha256sum on Linux or Get-FileHash in PowerShell. The builds are unsigned, so this is the only way to confirm you have the file that was actually published.
